Running Club

Students will learn proper running form through form running drills, learn how to warm up and cool down for a track workout, choose between participating in sprint or middle and long distance workouts, and work on basic core and leg strengthening exercises. Sprinters will also receive instruction on block starts. Students will get to participate in an intrasquad meet at the end of camp to showcase the skills and fitness they gained during camp!

In this hands-on class, students will learn the fundamentals of Javascript programming and browser-based 2D games and Javascript graphics. The course engages students in creative problem solving and further develops computational thinking, and lays a strong foundation of programming fundamentals including variables, random, conditionals, loops, events and more. By the end of the course, students will use everything they have learned to create the blob tag game. No prior coding experience is required to participate in this course. A computer or Chromebook with internet connectivity is required to join the course.

Join us at E-Sports, analyze and execute strategies used by professionals, as we hone our skills using specially developed software to help develop reaction time, memory, and control; as well as playing the video games that make us smile while enjoying the company of our friends.

account, savings account and an investment account and how they all play a role
in their future financial success and wealth building. We will cover how to avoid
identity theft and much much more.

Acting Academy

Develop your acting skills as you collaborate with others student on a short play. Each class begins with fun theater games to build skills that will benefit you both on and off stage. After that, rehearsals take place in preparation for a performance at the end of the quarter. (Depending on the circumstances this might be shared virtually instead of our usual in person showcase.) STUDY HALL is a fee based option offered to students to do homework or quiet reading.

COST:  $7.50 per 1.5 hours per day

 

Signing up:  Sign up on the study hall calendar per day needed. The week will remain open until noon the day of, but same day registrations will result in a late/drop-in fee of $15 plus the class fee of $5/hour. 

 

LATE PICK-UP:  Please pick your student up by 4:15pm.  Students not picked up by 4:30pm will be charged a $2 per minute late pick-up fee. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW:

Completed Athletic Packets MUST be turned in to the Athletic Director prior to first day of practice. Students will not be allowed to practice without this paperwork turned in. Packets are available for download HERE, at the OG front office, or at our district office.

The first week of practice is MANDATORY. During this time, we are placing students on teams, doing concussion training and other safety information is being shared, and we encourage your attendance.

Grade checks will be performed mid-quarter. Students must have a passing grade in all classes to be eligible to play. Please see the Interscholastic/Intramural Sports Agreement in your Athletic Packet.
