Your Arizona school tax credit makes the most of your money and helps our students grow

Posted Date: 12/17/25 (05:00 PM)

Through Arizona's Public School Tax Credit, you can support the extracurricular activities that help our students grow, and receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit when you file your Arizona state income taxes.

A tax credit is a full refund of what you owe in state taxes, dollar-for-dollar.

Your contribution directly supports qualifying fee-based extracurricular activities* at CFSD schools, the programs that charge participation fees, including sports teams, clubs, arts programs, and other activities that enrich our students' education.

Here's how it works:
Make a contribution of up to $400 (married filing jointly), $200 (single filers), or $200 each (married filing separately) to CFSD extracurricular programs.
Important timing:

  • Contributions made by December 31, 2025, can be claimed on your 2025 tax return
  • Contributions made January 1 - April 15, 2026, can be claimed on either your 2025 or 2026 tax return (your choice)
You'll receive a receipt for your records. When you file your 2025 Arizona state taxes, you can subtract your donation—up to $400—from what you owe in taxes.

Ready to support CFSD students? Donate online with your credit card here.

*Arizona law (ARS 43-1089.01) allows taxpayers to receive a tax credit for contributions to extracurricular fee-based programs in public schools. Every dollar stays at the school(s) to which you donate.

Note: Your dollars cannot be designated for an individual student.

Please check with your tax adviser for answers to specific tax-related questions.
